Streamek — Terms of Use
Effective date: 31 October 2026
1. Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Amjed Al-Agele ("we", "us"), who runs Streamek, the video player app for iPhone and iPad ("the App"). By downloading or using the App you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. The App
Streamek is a video player. It lets you:
- play videos stored on your device, in the Files app, or in your iCloud Drive;
- play videos from links (URLs) that you enter or share to the App;
- control playback with features such as speed, subtitles, audio tracks, gestures, Picture in Picture and AirPlay.
Streamek does not provide, host, sell or recommend any films, series or other videos. Everything you play comes from you: your own files, your iCloud account, or links you choose to open. We do not run a catalogue, and we do not check or control the content of any file or link.
3. Your videos and your responsibility
The videos you play remain yours or belong to their rights holders. We claim no rights in them and do not receive copies of them.
You are responsible for what you open and play. Only use the App with videos you own, videos you have permission to use, or videos the rights holder makes freely available. Playing or keeping copies of protected content without permission may be illegal where you live.
Some websites and services restrict how their videos may be used, or protect them with technical measures. Streamek does not bypass encryption, DRM or other copy protection, and you must not use it to try.
4. Your library and storage
Videos you import are copied into the App's storage on your device, where you can also see them in the Files app. Videos you open from another location stay where they are.
You manage your library. Deleting the App deletes the videos stored inside it. Files in iCloud Drive follow Apple's terms and your iCloud storage plan. We are not responsible for lost files or the storage space they use.
5. Age
You must be old enough to accept these terms where you live. If you are under the age of majority, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you and is responsible for what you watch.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use the App to:
- copy or distribute content in breach of copyright or other rights;
- get around DRM, encryption, paywalls or other access controls;
- play or store content that is illegal where you live, including anything that sexualises a minor;
- break the terms of the websites or services whose links you open;
- reverse engineer, modify or resell the App, except where the law allows it.
7. Our rights
The App, its design, code and the Streamek name belong to us. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, under these terms and Apple's Usage Rules. You may use the App only for personal, non-commercial purposes.
8. Copyright complaints
Streamek does not host, publish or share videos, so we cannot remove a file from your device or a third-party website. If you believe someone is infringing your copyright, contact the website or service that hosts the content.
If you believe the App itself infringes your rights, email support@streamek.net with: the work, how the App infringes it, your contact details, and a statement that you own the rights or act for the owner.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The App is provided "as is". We do not promise that it will play every file format or link, or that the App will be free of errors.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost files, or any claim arising from content you play. Nothing in these terms limits liability, or your rights as a consumer, where the law does not allow it.
10. Ending these terms
You can stop using the App and delete it at any time. We may end your right to use the App if you break these terms or the law.
11. Changes
We may change the App or these terms. We will update the effective date above. If you keep using the App after a change, the new terms apply. The current version is always at streamek.net/terms and linked from Settings in the App.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Iraq. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and may bring a claim in its courts.
13. Apple App Store
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. If the App fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price, if any; Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for any product liability, legal or consumer claims, or third-party intellectual-property claims about the App. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm you are not in a country under a U.S. Government embargo and are not on a U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
